P4:

As part of my media profile i uploaded my work, for this i had to repurpose it. I repurposed work so that it would load on the website but still have high quailty, this is important as i need furture employers be see my work at high quaility inorder to see my skills.

list of repurposed work:

  • My magazine double page spreads: i uploaded both double page spreads onto my website which were orginally were Tiff files, i repurposed these as Jpegs to keep the quailty but also to be able to uploaded them to my website.
  • My VLB advertsing posters: both my campaign posters were uploaded to my website, these were orignally Tiff files but i repurposed them to jpegs

M2:

As part of my website i want to included photographs from photographers which inpire me, to stick to copyright laws i will clearly labeled and signposted where i got the photographs from and the photographer who took them. if i had not stuck to copyright laws my personal profile could have been taken down. All other content on the website is my own and so i did not need to reference where i got it from.

When filming and photographing content uploaded to my website i ensured to gain full consent via consent forms from the locations and people involved, i also need informed them when uploading to the website to ensure it was acceptable to upload them online. By doing this is have stuck to IPSO guidlines of privacy, this is important as someone may not want their photographs online i am not allowed to upload them.

All my own work is also labelled on my website, my website consists of the sixteenth trailer, Unplugged magazine and various photographs from my photography work. The trailer is used to promote The Sixteenth a mystery film, this post sticks to guidelines as it does not include any harmful or offensive language, this can offend a younger audience. My trailer also doesn't include any graphic scenes which may upset the audience, this is important an if reported it could get my website taken down.

My magazine pages also sticks to guidelines as the content for my body copy/text is not untrue or defamatory towards someone's reputation, this is important as I cannot publish content about my band/artist which is untrue, as it may damage the reputation of the artist. Also with text and imagery from my magazine I cannot promote drugs/alcohol/violence in my magazine as it could influence my audience and look unprofessional on my website. I had to ensure all the photographs were my own so that I do not breach copyright laws and if they were not my own I would have to clearly label this.

My photography work consist of photographs I have taken, all of these have been inspired by other photographers which is clearly stated under 'research and inspirations'. Through my photography work I have looked at women in the media and how they have been represented, because of this is may have used revealing clothes which could offend an audience, because of this I have chosen the most professional photographs to upload in order not to breach guidelines. Within
my work I have used photographs which do not discriminate or offend people of different genders, age, ethnicity or culture which is important as this may upset the audience and make me look unprofessional.

Finally I have uploaded photographs from my Vintage Leather Bag campaign, this was to promote a local bag company. For this I created poster advertisements, all the content on this was taken and made my me, which Is important as it would not breach copyright laws. I also made sure the photographs and content in these promotional pieces did not offend the audience or discriminate against them.

Within my work i have stuck to ethical guidelines as I have not discriminated or made fun of any certain gender, age or race, this also sticks to IPSO guidelines of discrimination, this is important as i have to make sure not to offend anyone with my work. I did this by no including offensive content about anyone

The work i will uploade to my website show all my skills so that furture emloyers can see work i have done and what software i can use. I will upload 2 posters and my business card onto this page, i decided to upload this as it shows an client lead project, this is important as it shows i can follow direction from a real client and work with their requests. these were orignally Tiff files but i repurposed them to jpegs to keep the high quality

I uploaded the Sixteenth trailer was uploaded to my website, i did this to show my filming and editing skills which could be used when applying for jobs to do with filming's, again this shows a wide range of my skills. i will upload this via a YouTube link, in order to upload it to YouTube i had to repurpose it from a MOV file to an MP4, this was so i was able to upload it onto my website.

The DPS's from my magazine will also feature on my website, i want to use this as it shows employers that i can create original ideas from scratch and design layout/graphics to fit my ideas. This DPS shows skills such as graphics, photography and journalism. Both double page spreads onto my website which were originally were Tiff files, i repurposed these as Jpegs to keep the quality but also to be able to uploaded them to my website.

I will upload various photographs from my photography work, this is because i enjoy photography and want to show the employer my various different styles of photography and skills within photography. All my photographs i will repurposed from Tiff to Jpeg, this is in order to make them load and also keep high quailty as otherwise the photographs may loose effect.

I have decided to also include photographs from my Eco-Fest campaign i did where i created a website promoting a band for Eco-Fest, i have decided to do this to show how i can build a working website for different purposes and also to show off my photography work.  i repurposed this from PDF to Jpegs, this again means it can be upoaded in high quaility.
